It seems the world is awash with prosecco (or glera), and much of it is functional, off-dry bubbly. Also, many of the imports would have been best drunk sooner. Drink this instead. It is much better than any of that. And, in this vintage, the balance is spot on, yielding poised generosity with a fine backbone of crisp, appley refreshment, Lisbon lemon notes and saline minerality. It’s floral, perfectly ripe, and made with real intent. Leaning into the genre, it is about easy engagement, but it’s quality through and through.

While classic in a way, there’s some added bandwidth of interest and personality to this Prosecco. Scents and flavours of green apple, pear and tropical fruits with whiffs of sea spray and faint sugar biscuit. Bubbles are fine, the wine cooling and crisp with a general sense of liveliness and subtle savoury complexity. Super enjoyable.
