Soft, fleshy, dark fruited and with the aromas of dried herbs, pot-pourri and spice. The palate has impressive length, firmness and real drinkability.

Off vines in Sellick’s Hill: destemmed, open fermented, then pressed to steel (70%) and older oak. A mix of the pretty, floral side of grenache and its more brooding side, the latter likely reflecting the clay loam soils. Black and red cherries, damson, macerated strawberry, some musk stick, cassia and camphor. Tannins are fine, the impact a little heady but easy enough with it. It goes well.
