Mitolo is thrilled to announce the release of its first single vintage sparkling Glera – 2022 La Spiaggia.
Sourced from McLaren Vale’s first Glera (prosecco) plantings near the coastal town of Aldinga, La Spiaggia takes inspiration from Italy’s crystal-clear Mediterranean waters.
2022 La Spiaggia boasts aromas of lemon curd, white nectarine, granny smith apple and white blossom. While the palate reveals a slightly sweeter spectrum of apple, leading into vanilla cream and shortbread. Hints of green olive add savouriness, and the mouthfeel is crisp yet soft edged with a lovely pillowy mousse. A mineral backbone of fine talc and mouthwatering acidity are balanced by respectful dosage, allowing the fruit to shine and the wine to finish effortlessly light footed.
